My girlfriend and I recently bought two 2001 civics form a dealership. We picked up one last wenesday, June 9/2004. It has 38,000km on it and the 2nd gear has popped into neutral twice as described here. TBS My question is do you think I'll get hassled at the dealership because it was bought used? We passed on the extended warranty but the sales guy said it had the balance of 5 year/100,000km powertrain. Anyone else have to deal with warranty on used cars? I've never owned a car this new, so I don't know where I stand on warranty repairs. I will definately bring up the issue when I pick up the other car. Thanks for reading and for any advice.

By reading the Service Bulletin...it should be covered...everything on the car should be covered to 60,000km. And if you bought from a reputable dealership (hopefully a Honda dealer)...they should fix it no questions asked. But mostly any used car comes with at least a 30day - 1yr limited warrranty depending on the dealership. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply chippy-chick. Yes it was bought from a Honda dealership. I hope I don't get hassled, especially since we bought two from them the same day.
