Custom Paint shop in the GTA

Hey Folks,

I'm considering getting a custom paint job for my job. By "custom", I mean I want to get it repainted a different colour. My car is currently NBP, thinking of getting a sweet royal blue. Anyone know of a shop in the GTA that does GOOD work.

Problem is that I'd be extremely picky. I'm a project engineer at Magna, at a plant that manufactures and paints exterior trim parts. In other words, I know what to look for in a good paint job - won't accept runs, excessive orange peel, dry spray, overspray, etc...

Also, I'd be looking to keep the engine bay black, but would like the door sills painted body colour.

Anyone out there had a good experience in the GTA with paint shop?

Thanks in advance!

I heard that Magna is like THE BEST place to work for! Anyways theres two places that I can recomend and trust, and ONLY THESE TWO!

-Danny at CFD Custom design
181 Woodstream Blvd. Unit 18
Woodbridge Ontario
905-264-2068
(Does 60% of the local show cars, Does AMAZING work, not too pricy)

and

-Dennis Creations Autobody
18 Lockport Ave. Unit 5
Toronto
416-207-0611
(Does many show cars also, very good work, VERY good prices!)

It all depends what you are looking for... Which either one you call tell them Jayson sent you and they'll be even nicer ... Good Luck!

Magna is a great company to work for. Good salary, awesome benefits, good environment and I get to work on car parts. The parts we make at my plant are primarily decorative, e.g: Wheel flares and roof light-bar for the Jeep Liberty Renegade, Hood scoop for the mustang, B-Pillar trip for the new Honda TL, and a whole lot more. Nothing for the 7thgen, unfortunately. I wish we made the OEM lip/skirt kit!!!

Ya, I'm thinking I'll either get my car painted this summer or next spring, all depends on the funds at this point.

Let's say I wanted a pretty plain-jane colour (none of that tri-coat changes colour at different angle crazy paint), how much would you figure a GOOD paint job would cost. My car doesn't need any bodywork at all, just some sanding to get rid of stone chips and nicks in the front bumper...

Thanks!

Yeah... CFD is awesome... but for a paint job like that you should be looking between $2000 and $2500

That's about how much I was expecting, $$$ wise. Well, I bought 17" Rota's and tires, Hayames this spring, not sure how much cash I'll have left! I'd better start saving...

I always wanted a crazy blue car. My 2nd ride was a 91 Miata. Looked for it in that freaky smarties blue - very rare, so I had to settle for red. I think it'll still look good with a black engine bay (It'd be uglier if the base colour was say, green or beige with a blue exterior. no).
