As some of you that I talk to on MSN know i got rear ended at a light (i was already stopped)by a B!TCH on G1 (she was by herself) and wasnt carrying her insurance papers!! (so they went through the parents insurance)
2 thursdays ago
well it was only Minor damages and i had it in the shop from monday and got it back this morning (thursday)...
I was driving a rental (03 Protoge) and it was OK.. nice low end shitty high end...
but my rear bumper and lip just seems so wierd... cause the paint is darker than the ussual eternal blue pearl.. its cause it fresh new paint... but im also kind of upset that it seemed like it was a rush job... i didnt wanna complane about it cause im scared that if i do they'll fix it but mess up something else....
it probibly isnt that bad but i just feel like its just not the same...

Take some pics and post them if you can. Give it some time and by the summer time with all the sunlight, it should fade out a bit more and should blend in with your OEM paint better. I'm sure it's not that bad, you being the owner will notice it right away cuz you know exactly what got painted. But most people will probably see nothing different. Just my .02 cents.

I think i would, cuz if you're like me, you'll always know that in the back of your mind your car isn't fixed right. It would seriously bug me, especially if you can see the bolt holes. Try and get some pics, and maybe you can do a poll or something, get our opinions.

Take it back if your not happy with the work. Don't be scared. Go in and tell them your not happy with their work, and if they can't seem to do the job right, then go to your insurance company and tell them you'll bring it to a REPUTABLE shop (one that you know about) and they WILL pay for the repairs... again, or you'll move your business somewhere else.
But keep in mind that the company has a business to run, they will not gain anything by purposely damaging your car if you bring it back.

IMO the difference in paint to me is obvious..give it more time and sunlight and it should even out. I would get the bumper refixed, the should have fixed it back to normal. Just my 3cents.
seriously, like APRboy says, take it back ... its obvious, even from just a photo that the paint is different; i'll be so much easier to spot in person ... and the "unfit" bumper is truely unfit ... that **** doesn't even come close to lining up.
you were not at fault in this accident, you shouldn't have to "settle" for a broken bumper.

wow, definately bring it back. Paint I wouldn't say is that bad in the pics, but not having the bumper line up properly really looks bad. Call them and tell them you just noticed it and I'm sure they'll fix it for you.

I had to get my front bumper repainted b/c the dealership mechanic spilled clutch fluid on it, and the paint is a bit darker than on the fenders and hood, but they can blend the paint if need be, that way you will not notice the diff in colour. but you have decals on the sides of your car so it might be difficult to blend. As for the bumper, that **** looks like a high school student worked on it!

From those pics it doesnt look like that place did a good job at all.
The paint and the fitment are both noticeably off.
Good luck with everything and I hope they fix it up right this time!

Yup, take 'er back buddy. It should fit better than that and the colour difference shouldn't be that noticeable unless the sun has faded your OEM paint colour that much, but i highly doubt it. It's something that will peck away at your brain if you don't get it fixed right. Keep us posted. And good luck!!!!

They probably did use the right paint code, it's just that your car has been through some summers. Even though you might not notice it, paint fades. Give your bumper one summer in the sun and it should match up with the rest.
did they take the color code? when i got my kit painted it was a perfect match when i picked it up. You can tell that the colors are def different. Take it back, have'em re-paint it, and fix the bumper.

one summer? the paint aint gonna change colors man. If you dont do it now, they can screw you over later by saying "why did you take so long" "someone probably re-painted it" "we never did that job", im saying just get it over with now. Its up to you though, but that color match is horrible!
yo vic bring it back and save yourself from all this stress of debating..
you know me i need everything perfect, when i got my bumper painted i had to do it three times b4 they got it right. so yeah bring it back asap.
