Yup, I had a bad experience with this shop previously...

3 1/2 years ago, I didn't know that Honda and Nissan have different kind of 4-lugs wheel...and I asked them to swap the 2 sets of wheel from each others...they said, "yeah, easy job, no problem at all"...and after 10 minutes, both of my cars were in the shop...they took the wheels and tried to swap...and problems...Honda and Nissan have different styles 4-lugs...so they ended up swap it back, and said, "okay, it can't be done, go to the counter and pay the money"...and I was like...WTF...I argued with them...but they just didn't listen to me...and I had no choice and paid...

I mean they should know that Honda and Nissan can't mix together...from their experience...

they suck...

I had my 15" Arctic Alpins + black steelies purchased and installed there.... $717 taxes in...

I didn't have any particular problems, other than the sheer amount of Chinese people lining up... I watched as they swapped my rims, put them into bags, and put them in my trunk...

My alignment even got messed because I hit a curb, and they swapped tires, told me to drive around, and if that didn't help, then it was alignment, not tires. Then they swapped the tires back....They did it for free...

Maybe it was an off day??? Either way, they should have double checked the lugs...

I agree they don't make the same error everyday.
Any mistake can be made but NOT something like this one...who wants to drive on HWY with their lugs loosen ? This could cause very severe HWY accident and some death and maybe a roll over or 15 cars series accident!! I mean if they are well trained and responsible enuf they should've at least make sure the wheels are well mounted. Mistakes happen but the way they took care after it doesn't tell me they are worth to ever go visit!!! I can't have that kind of mistake happen, and I don't want it ! you only get to live once man~

Thats brutal man. same thing almost happened to me. Active Green + Ross in Barrie didnt tighten my wheel properly once and when I felt the severe shaking on the highway I realized my wheel almost fell off, and even the Honda Dealership in Barrie didnt torque the lugs tightly after I put my winters on. I complained about balancing and realized 2 lugs had fallen off. BRUTAL!!!
Too many carless people out there nowadays.
Im glad that you and your GF are O.K.

how you FORGET to tighten the lugs when you put on a wheel is what i don't understand.....it's the first and last step of any job they do....

therefore, shouldn't it be automatic for them?

Exactly!
I just don't get how they can just forget about doing all these 'automatic' things lease:

I had a bad experience with one of the Chinese shop located around that Greenlane area also.

A few years back, I brought my old car for regular checkups. When I got my car back, the next thing is that my hood started to smoke! damn! i was like, "wtf?"

I pulled aside on a highway to check what's up. When I opened the hood, all I could see was engine oil all over the interior (engine bay, cooler, etc.)!! And not to mention the smell.

Then, I called a tow truck and took it away. At last, I went back to the store and complained. And the store owner fired that new guy who was handling my car. Just how the hell could he have forgotten to put that "engine oil cap" back on after checking the engine oil?

sigh

holy ****, i brought my tire from that place also, i don't know about you, but when i get in there, i think it's kind of getto, but that's the cheapest place where i can find, so i was standing beside the guy who's changing my tire, he was kind of mad because i was doing this, watching his each step, but i just don't trust anyone beside myself, good that you didn't get into a serious accident, guess i won't be going back either.
