Belt Squeels like a Pig! HELP!

My belt on my car squeels like a pig when the weather's cold. So anyways.. I popped the hood.. and revved it to 2000 rpm from 1000 rpm and then stopped and I already smelt a burning smell. What do you guys think it is caused by? Belt slipping? Belt too loose?
It's been happening for the last 2 months or so.
PLEASE help

It's caused by the serpentine belt either slipping due to it being old or not being tight enough...... I can fix it if you want you can give me a call at 416-259-6500... Thanks! -Jayson
