How do you know that they weren't going over the speed limit? They could have been going 120 km/h...
they didnt even get a ticket for speeding.. just a ticket for street racing. damn.. makes ya think, if u guys were going 20 km/h can u still be considered for street racing??????
hm... i bet you guys if they were all driving chevy malibu's they would never be hassled!!

I bet if they left a good 2 seconds between each car travelling at highway speeds.. they would have been left alone... I'm gonna make a flying leap here and assume they are like 99% of the convoys out there... they follow like 1 car length from each other.
Fine, but the charge should then have been something like following too closely. The cops were judging just because they had similar cars (of a "souped-up" nature) that they must be street racing. They could have at least been more subtle and charged them with speeding or something.
I wonder what Narc would say about this?

from one of the ppl involved in this incident, the cop apparently made comments stating that the modifications on their cars were for racing, hence the street racing ticket!
i wasn't there personally, so i can't comment on how they were driving, but if a speeding ticket wasn't issued, i doubt they were travelling at high speeds. and since no other tickets were issued, i doubt any other stupid actions were observed by the cop. hence i find this disturbing and frustrating. so travelling in a pack of cars to a specific desgination will now run the risk of a street racing ticket? damn, i just find that disturbing.

Ok, well assuming what the Subaru dudes are saying is the god's honest truth, in that they wernt speeding, and they only passed one car, than I would hafta say that the charge holds no watter.
But I personally know when there's a convoy of car enthusiast going anywhere, the tendancy is to push it just a little. So I cant say I fully believe they were obeying the law %100.
Never the less, 8 cars passing one car tells me that that one car was prolly going really friggin slow. That dont seem like racing. If the officers evidence is that they were passing one another, than ya I can see how that would look like racing.
You all know that my loyalties lie with the officers, so I wont get up in here and slam them, but in hearing the one side of the story, smells like BS. Theres more to this than were being told.
There, you happy now Will?

No, cause I bet you didn't post this in a pair of leopard-print speedos. But it's nice to hear something from the law's side.
Let's not jump into conclusions. Maybe they're not 100% innocent.
It was a CONVOY of WRXs...... they were also passing a slow car... and I'm willing to bet some of them got boost happy.
