Mink Nightclub Fridays - Planet Gee Productions
Dun wanna step on ur toes here 1llmatic, but I'm doin a Friday nite too:
Just lettin you all know I have accepted a recent offer to take on Friday night promotions for Mink Nightclub in Toronto. I will be rotating so until I decide to go hardcore and take it on every week, I will be doin this kinda thing once every three weeks.
What does this mean for you? It means guestlist and line bypass any Friday night, and depending on how many people show, a few free drinks courtesy of the club (more peeps = more drinky).
My focus is on packin the rooftop patio this fall and winter, as the main room always does well. Now some of you may be saying "WiLL, all those intoxicants you consumed in university have finally fried your tiny little peanut brain. Rooftop patio in the winter will NEVER fly". And there, my friends, is where you will be wrong...the patio is totally enclosed (tented) and heated! I was there last Friday and people were STILL workin up a sweat. You don`t feel a chill at all!
The venue itself is super super classy - hardwood floors, gorgeous lighting. Sound system is top notch on both floors. Friendly security, efficient (and pretty) bar staff. Music is hip hop/rnb/house/reggae on both floors. First floor is spun by some dude I don`t really know, the second floor is spun by the infamous DJ Gee....and of course, I plan to have some deck time myself once established....to kick up the house flava.

So.....to close, I want to extend a warm invitation to all of you to come out and support this latest venture, have some good times, and try out a new place to party. I`m not doing this every single week but I can get you in any Friday. My first official night is Nov 7th, but I WILL be there this Friday so maybe you guys can come check out the place. 19+, dress code in effect, but it`s not so tight - just no hats/runners/athletic gear.

we r on first name basis but the only down part about mink is how expensive the drinks are and how big the ice cubes are, no joke, pay attention next time

I dun hate u Fresh, I'm more about the asian chicas....man there were some REALLY hot ones last Friday. I was tryin to get over to this one Korean girl who'd been starin at me across the floor for hours but this other girl (with nasty breath) kept clingin to me. Grrrr...

Rep Power: 368 There is always a big birthday party and stuff, and there IS often a strong asian presence, but it's about 1/3 asian usually. But it is very diverse past that. Lots of indian, caucasian, middle eastern....because DJ Gee is popular with the Greek crowd (chinese DJ popular with the Greek crowd, it's funny actually), lots of Greek presence. But it's great cos everyone gets along, not much attitude, a lot of guys posin but never any beef. This past Friday was bananas, the patio (where I focus my attention) was almost empty till like midnight, and we were like "Hey, wha happened?" I go to the bar for a drink, turn around to go back to the DJ booth, and suddenly it was RAMMED, like I had to elbow my way through. I also like the fact that the clientele are generally mature and take time to look good. No wannabe thugs up in here with too much Sean John and chains and medallions. One thing I will warn you about though - any bar in the club you WILL spend money at....the bartenders keep you comin back believe me.
