on the sedan guage clusters the numbers are all a white/yellow color, which means that they are actually clear and you are seein the natural light bulb color shine through. all i did was stick a blue gel sheet in behind my guage sheets and voila, indiglo's

This is a really good and clever idea. It eliminates the need to take the gauge cluster out and put condoms over the bulbs. Then you have to scrape the paint away to make it bright enough. With this method, you just slip colored plastic under the factory face. Amazingly simple and just as bright. I think I'm gonna do this after my indiglos die, cause the sedan stock faces are a nice silver.

Actually, I may try this right now and just unplug the indiglos. The thing I don't like with the 02 is the old rings show with the indiglos. I've put electrical tape and it starts looking ghetto. I'm gonna see what I can do with this and post back later.

No.

Office Depot == Office Place (renamed)

Business Depot == Staples Business Depot (renamed)

I tried this and ended up ruining my entire cluster. The 02 faces are glued on, and that's where it all went wrong. Needless to say, this guy is the reason my entire dash and gauges are blue now. So I guess I should say thanks, since one thing led to another and eventually to doing a LED setup.

The blue folders and stuff from office depot don't work that well. You will get a greenish light. This is due to incandescent light being more intense on the red/yellow side of the spectrum.

Well if you looked at the pictures you would've seen that the light was green-ish rather that blue-ish.

And unless profurious came down to illinoise and destroyed your dash cluster then I don't really think you should blame him. He didn't tell you to do it. He simply posted some pics of his DIY.

Peace

profurious--I'm not blaming you or anything. I just have a habit of making things harder than they really are. It's all good now, and everything is fixed better than before.

player--the stock gauges actually have a painted filter on the back that dims the light and makes it a different color. You can use some acetone on the back of the faces to clear out the paint. Light will shine through the plastic alot better. Then you can replace the stock #74 bulbs with blue coated bulbs or some other color. That's what I ended up doing.
