Go to www.sarc.com to get removal tools for Blaster and Welchia. The pages describing these will also provide you with links to Microsoft's site to download patches to protect against these.

You need to then start your computer in Safe Mode, and run the removal tools. The removal tools will tell you if you are infected.

It's absolutely critical that you install the patches, esp. if you are directly connected to the Internet via modem, DSL, or cable. If you have an Internet router, you are safe, but I still recommend running the Microsoft critical updates coz there actually are a number of vulnerabilities that can be exploited by new viruses.

I've been f*king running around all week removing these from customer laptops and servers, pathetic.

Anyway, these viruses only affect Windows 2000 and XP.
