Help....painting honda badge

my buddy is painting his "H" and i just wanted to know if we need to sand off the chrom or just make it rough....thanks all....

to prevent the paint from pealing, it's best to sand first .. then use a primer .. then a couple coats of the paint .. then finally a couple coats of clear coat ... g'luck

i am aware that you have to sand, my question is, do you need to sand it to the point where the chrome is gone or just really rough?

use fine grit sandpaper and just rough it up a bit and add
"self etching" primer.

The paint will then stick and last a long time. I painted my
grill and no chips after 2 years!
