Need headlights advice

ok..i screwed up my attempts to black housing my headlights..
(02 civic sedan)
so now i am planning to head for a new pair..
and since i am throwing-in my $$$ anyways..
i don't want to get the oem ones..

so.. what are some "STREET LEGAL" ones which are currently good in the market?
i saw you guys talked about APC, Projectors, Angel Eyes, TYC(??), etc.
are they even legal? they looked "racers-mod" to me (me = a newbie)..
i usually drive in da downtown area..
so i don't want an officer chasing behind me like i stole his donut or sth..

also.. should i visit those autoshops in Pacific Mall/First Markham to ask for a good priced headlights?
or buying off online would be a better choice?
any suggestions here?

thanks lot!

don't get angel eyes. Just get either smoked or blacked out headlights.

If you're gonna change the headlights to projectors then go for TYC... street legal too. I've heard of people getting pulled over for their angel eyes (why?? I don't know)
your other option is to buy a set of headlights off someone here that's either stock, cleared, or even blacked out already. Someone will definitely sell them.

Speaking of which, I have a set from my old car that are already blacked out. You just need to reseal them. $50 and there yours.

Yeah projos are dim as hell.

Don't let anybody else tell you otherwise. TYC's not "undriveable"... but I had Matrix Projectors before that, and it was really really REALLY bad. Near zero light output. Good thing I had OEM foglamps to suppliment them.

I definitely stress to get addional lamps if you decide to go with projectors. Otherwise it is right down dangerous.

I just ordered some Osram Sylvania Xenarc X1010 Auxilary HID Lamps for my dad's minivan. Be getting them on next week. If you get one of those, you can definitely go with projectors!

thx guys for da inputs..

hmm..
so i went to an autoshop today around my area..
da guy in da store told me that the TYC projectors will cost me at least around $590..
he said that headlights is da only one being DOT approval in the market..

here is the picture..

he also claimed that the other projector headlights being sold at under $400 are all shitty quality.. (one store at First Markham is selling this)
any of you guys agree upon him? or he is a "lair lair, pants on fire"? hehe

anyways..
this '600 bucks' price is way out of ma budget.. sigh..
is there any other store with better prices?
or this is a good deal already?
or other good headlights rather than the tyc?

Hachiman: regarding your hl.. thx for ya offer.. but i think if i really getting a 2nd hand from you guys.. i will just go back to stock.. since this hl thing i did really pissed me off.. (sealing and re-sealing... grrrr).. btw.. do you have a stock one? maybe i will just get off you if the projectors is a no go for me?
