hEY i thought about it and i think we should actually do BYOF but i say we need peeps that are going to actually go and be there. i think we might go up and maybe stay the night and leave the day after. so we could meet up aswell on the next day depending on what time the meet is going to start and be over.

how bout this idea....
you guys organize the rental of some grills, or order a few pizzas...but if anyone wants anything else, they have to bring their own.
that way you guys wont get stuck with anything (bing the planning committee) and if the turnout isnt that great no extra food from caterers...but at the same time youre not depending on individual people to bring something so that everyone can eat. you know?

surely we'll have more than 10 rooms between all the people that show up.. go ahead and get a quote on each of the hotel's room price, with and without group rate. (just in case)

there is already a grill there, its a pit style made of bricks. its gilling rack is about 2'x2', so we dont have to worry about the grill
about the rooms, i did post on here a few months ago, ill try to find it again, if not ill do some searchin for all of you, i have 2 hotels right off the PA turnpike, and one right in Lebanon, just a few mins away from the park

nevermind, I just saw the post. I went to the website to get some info for the hotels.
The Quality Inn is just 1 1/2 miles from the meet site, is a nice hotel, i think it has 68 rooms total. This would be my first choice. Only problem is, when i went to get a quote for saturday the 26th, the website said no rooms were available. when I checked another day there were dozens. I'm not sure if that means it's sold out per se, but maybe they're not taking anymore internet reservations? we'd be looking at maybe $95 per night, unless we get a group rate with 10+ rooms (easy)
Hampton Inn.. my second choice. only downside is that it's about 6 miles from the meet site. Hampton Inn is a trustworthy chain, pretty nice. it'll run maybe $100/night, without discount. again, the site said the hotel was sold out for those dates
hope that's not true.
The last recommended hotel, the Rodeway Inn, looks creepy.. I dunno about staying there, lol. if we do though, we'd still be 6 miles from the meet site.

btw, trust me, lebanon is definitely not a "hot spot" this is probably one of the biggest, organized events of the year, however, keep in mind, Hershey Park is nearby, so that will factor into the availibilty of rooms
Basically peeps are still trying to figure out the food thing.....BYOF or catering or whatever.
Ummm....looking into hotels for people that might be driving far (like us). I think that's all for the most part. I didn't read EVERYTHING, but that's about it.

I think we should have it @ noon, just because it starts @ noon doesnt mean that you cant get there later, just might not be any food.
Have we decided what we are doing yet or no, food wise and other stuff. oh yeah my bday is the 28th.
