well, all i've done is install my Teins SS full-coilovers, and that was pretty straitforward. i know how to do sleeve coilover springs, even though ive never done it, and i think its pretty easy. have you looked for a DIY for that, i thought i've seen one floating around.

everyone come to vinh's place for a spring install and party
he's looking at a ground control/stock shock setup untill he has enough for konis. i'm sure they come with instructions. with both of us (slikor and I)having seen how it's done i know that the 2 of us could figure it out

hehehe, yeah Mex, good idea
i've got a floor jack and 4 jack stands, and shiat loads of tools, pretty much all we'd need for the install other than a spring compressor (but you can get the hand-operated ones for pretty cheap) and i'm sure it aint that hard. cripes while we're at it lets install anything else anyone around here wants installed that they have but dont know how to install

when my friend and I did my coilover install i sat on the spring and he took off the bolt.. it was easy. I thought he was crazy but the spring didn't expand that much after the bolt came off.. i suppose it would be that way with all the 7th gens.

you should be able to get the hand operated spring compressors (the ones that are just a bolt that you attach on both sides to the spring then screw it in or out to compress or release the spring) at most auto shops, like PepBoys might have them, Sears might too, and others like AutoZone and maybe Napa, etc. it shouldnt cost very much either.
EDIT: i just went by Sears a little bit ago and they had a nice sturdy Craftsman MacPherson spring compressor for $40.
