NEW FUSION BODY KIT--WE NEED DONOR CAR!
Fusion Imports is coming out with their first fusion kit. We would like to make it for the 01+ Civic. We will be ready to start working on the mold for the kit as soon as our Carbon fiber roof for the Del Sol is done next week. We will need a donor car for 2-4 weeks to create the mold from. Our manufacturing facility is in Irvine Kentucky. If any one is interested in letting us use their car we will give them the kit at a super low price. For anyone else that would like to preorder this kit, go ahead and give us a call at 541-469-4866 or email us at sales@fusionimports.com. The kit will be the highest quality out on the market. It will be made with 4.5-6 0z of high quality fiberglass and covered in a fusion green gel coat (not the cheap kind like our competetors that will blister in extreme hit). The fitment will be as great as Wings West. If you would like to give feedback on this design, go ahead, will take all comments into consideration. Thanks.

We will hopefully be set up for Urethane within the next couple of months. Fiberglass does have a bad reputation because of the companies out their that sell a poor quality product. Fiberglass CAN be very high quality, durable and much easier to work with if done right. Flex agents can be added to make the kit more durable that normal fiberglass. Fiberglass is also lighter than urethane and when enough of it is used can be very strong (most companies now adays use 1-5 oz of fiberglass, we will be using 4.5-6). Also, for those of you who are familiar with urethane, you know that a special care has to be taken when painting it. A lot of times the paint has trouble sticking to urethane kits because of the chemicals used in the urethane production process. A lot of companies are also finding out that their urethane kits are ripping in extreme heat and they are getting a lot of unhappy customers. Because of all this we will be using fiberglass and carbon fiber to make our kits for the next few months. Yes, we said carbon fiber. There are VERY few carbon fiber kit parts out there, and no full bumpers that we know of. Well, we are going to give it a shot and try to keep our prices affordable for them as well.

A couple of suggestions:
1. From the drawing it looks like you're putting this together for a coupe. Any plans for a full kit for the sedan? Granted, you may have to make slight changes to the side-skirts and rear bumper, but it will be worth it to us 4DR owners . . .
2. The pic appears to have a cutout for a dual exhaust. Since the 7thgen comes with a single exhaust, and very few people are modifying to a dual exhaust (from what I understand, it's not a good idea and could cause power losses), you may either want to make it for a single exhaust exclusively, or make dual exhaust cutouts optional.
3. Any plans for a matching spoiler? The kit appears to be very aggressive in appearance, and you'd make even more money off of the design if you added a matching wing; otherwise people are going to end up with your kit and a kaminari wing, etc. Just an observation.
4. Is that grill going to be integrated into the front bumper, or is that separate? You may be better off making it separate, considering that alot of people like the looks of the Altezza and JDM RS grill.
Overall, the design looks promising. I'm a bit partial to urethane myself, but if this kit comes through looking good and at a good price, I'll DEFINITELY take a long look at it.

Thanks for all the feedback--that is the kind of stuff we are looking for. The upper grill will most likely be separate (still haven't decided 100%). The kit will be for a single exhaust, but the way the bumper is designed, a dual exhaust is easily accomadated. Also, we are considering making a sedan kit as well...we are trying to judge the demand for it right now. So far, we have only had two people interested in this kit if it was for the sedan. If we could find 5 or 10 we would definitely do the necessary modification to have it for both the 2dr and the 4dr. It is a very expensive adjustment though, because a completely separate mold must be made. Also, we plan to have a spoiler and maybe some wide body agressive fenders that go with the lines of the kit in the future. We have yet to design them though. If you can come up with anything we will pay $50 per design. Thanks again for the input.
From what you got on the drawings I think the kit looks tight. I have a sedan myself and if you make the kit for it I will mostlikely get that cause there are not many kits for the sedan that are really aggresive.
