I know some of you on the boards are Asian. My colleague is doing a study on insulin response in Asians and is looking for participants. Here is some of the information and her contact information. You may be compensated for your time.

Title
Weight and Insulin Resistance Study for Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

Needed
Chinese, Korean, and Japanese men and women, normal weight and overweight, ages 18-50.

Study includes
1 laboratory visit, 1 follow up visit (~3-4 hours)

Measurement of body composition (body fat %)

Measure of blood glucose and insulin (blood draw)

Drinking a liquid meal

Keeping a 3 day eating diary and physical activity records

pinoys aren't considered asian...colonized by the spanish

hence...on application ...you mark "Pacific Islander"



....alright...maybe not 1/8...some chinese heritage though

actually where im from if your filipino your supposed to mark asian.. even where i live now they tell you to mark asian... filipinos were considered asian long before the colonization of the spanish... just because someone invades your territory means you become that of who has invaded..

even in the phillipines it was considered asian.. and you cant say no cause i was born and raised there
