God Damn Pot Holes

im fuming... the pot holes in this god damn city are blowing my mind. how is it acceptable for there to be pot holes 4 inches deep, ill repeat that, 4 inches deep , but i cant drive 10 mph over the speed limit. i hit a pot hole today that would blow your mind. it blew my tire, scratched my rim, and made the baby jesus cry.

i saw a list of the 10 worst cities to drive in with regards to road conditions, but philly was not in the top spot. i find this very hard to believe. san fran was higher than us, and i've been to san fran, its not NEARLY as bad as here. i hate philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs for their boiling incompetance. im thinking of sueing the township of newtown square for the cost of the tire (115 with installation). im also thinking of hi jacking one of those pot hole fillers ive seen around and filling in all the monsters

you think you have it bad? my gf lives on an island in the sf bay/delta area where at the end of her street is "the best windsurgfing in north america" so anyways on a lil levee road about 60 miles from the county center there are huge tour bus size rv's and gigantic yachts on trailors tearin up the road. since it has warmed up there have been 5 new ones all atleast 2'-5' wide and 2''-5'' deep.

Send the bill to the city. Raise hell....maybe if enough people went through the same thing as you, you can get a class action lawsuit together and get your damages paid for. Just an idea.

yes because what this country needs is law suits. they will raise taxes and we will pay 1 cent more per gallon of gas to cover pot holes so we will all pay for the rims instead of just paying for the road. i mean yeah it sucks but dude life sucks. remember when our parents told us lifes not fair. well its probably the most important thing a parent can teach their child.

i could get some witnesses saying they also had problems with the pot hole, maybe some other people who blew a tire. i mean its not a surprise that the pot holes there, im sure its been there for weeks now, as is the habit of philly suburban road crews

and i would be more than happy to pay another cent on the gallon if the roads were fixed up, i really wouldnt mind

it was new terrain, i was very unfamiliar with it. i almost ran some red lights i was watching the ground so intently. what threw me off was the color was the same as the surrounding asphalt, so it just blended in. i got a map in my brain of the ones in my hood. so i guess i just wont go out of town... ever

i just had the same thing happen to me, i wrote a letter to the department of public works, with a recipt for my new rim/tire/allignment. the said that they have insurance to cover these types of things...i live in MA tho. also, on this road there was no warning that these pot holes were ahead, and they went across the whole road, so you couldn't really avoid them. call the city hall, it's worth it.
