Carlisle Sport Compact Show - May 21-22
yo, anyone going let everyone else know. ssm 03 with invader hood and dropped with exhaust, hit me up.

yeah, cuz last year they cancelled it at carlise cuz off all of the problems, so they had it at the Farm Show complex in Harrisburg.
I guess they moved it back

Rep Power: 513 its not in Harrisburg this year, it's in State College at the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State. It's now called "Modified Madness" for more info go here:

PS- there is a show in carlisle that weekend but it is not THE carlisle...it's a smaller show. The big "carlisle" show is now Modified Madness. There are a bunch of articles online about the change, i can find them if anyone wants to read them...

i took this off a local site here in PA and these are some warning they are saying about the show, just becareful tonite/tomrrow morning, and ill see whoever is going tomorrow, have fun!!!
"Hi, I just got off the phone with my girlfriends mom who talked to a State Trooper at her place of work today. The officer said that ALL roads leading INTO state college will have check points on them. They will be targeting sports compacts specifically (in his words "all sporty cars who look like they might be going to the car show") He also mentioned that they are checking for legal exhaust systems (better have a cat), headlights (must clear minimum distance from road) and license plates (same guidelines as headlights) and also seatbelts, but who knows, they might ticket for tint, stereos and other cheesy bullshart. This is just a warning, i hope they are just trying to get the word out so people drive more cautiously, but i WOULD NOT put it past them (teh coppers) to actually setup check points at all road leading into SC. They will also be patroling VERY HEAVILY (cops words) in downtown state college and I-80 as well as SR322. "
The part in paranthesis is what was taken from the other forum. Even though I don't know a lot of you guys and girls, I still wouldn't want to see anything bad happen to a another tuner on the way to a show. "
"i completely believe this.. ok i lived in state college for several years and driving back and forth from HBG to St. College many many times (up and down 322). There's a little area inside like perry county (10 miles outside of harrisburg) where the speed limit drops to like 45 or something (it's a 5 mile stretch where they get the most tickets on 322). then there are usually 2 more area on your way from HBG up to St. College where they clock people.
See but then you get into State College where the police don't make their money of moving violations (aren't many places to speed in the first place). Giving poor college students tickets they can't afford just takes away from the university. Ticketting the alumni that support the university isn't a good idea either. SOOO.. they get their $$ from OUTSIDERS VISITING and downtown parking tickets. Oh and if it says no parking they will tow almost immediatley.
Logically speaking.. That police department has always struggled for $. If you don't live there, then you probably aren't gonna go back for a District Justice appearance next month for a $100 ticket. i would imagine they would be targetting out of staters moreso.. they sure did during football weekends. "

I just talked to a few of my friends who were there, they said they had a good time. I wish i could have gone, but after driving all the way back from south carolina yesterday, i didnt feel like driving up to State College.

Rep Power: 0 i came home saturday nite, i expected more parts for sale, and there were only like 3 7thgens, and to top it off my buddy(21) got a bottle of vodka for my friend(20) and the cops caught him, cuz he walked over to my car and put it in, dumb move on his behalf. i saw a fight during the burnout contest too, that was interesting to watch. haha def goin to nopi this yr in georgia, hopin for a better time.
