Test drove a S2000 and Accord V6 6-spd today
I'm kind of friends with the salesman I bought my civic from, and since then he's become sales manager at my dealership, so he has some pull. We were talking about the V6 6-spd Accord coupe and he asked if I'd driven one. I said no, and he said "Give me a minute" The next time he walked by, I joking around pointed to an S2000 on the show floor, and said, "When are you going to toss me the keys to that?" He said, "Give me another minute." I thought he was joking, but a few minutes later he showed up with two keys and said he had the guys pull both of the cars around.
As far as the Accord V6 6-spd goes - daaaaaaaaamn. When you do an upsift, as soon as you feed the throttle and get off the clutch, the car takes off FAST. That thing has way more torque and pull than I would've ever imagined. Redline comes up FAST.
And the S2000 - HOLY ****. Everyone has heard that the car doesn't have low end power - but compared to a civic(duh) or my friends RSX-S, it has PLENTY of low end. The coolest thing about the S2K is that as the RPM climb, it feels like there's more and more power. You don't want to shift because the power doesn't drop at all. I went to pass some old-school roadster that was on the same access road while I was at 4K rpm in 4th. I gave it gas and the car just flew like a rocket. Totally amazing!!!

Wow, that sounds great. I would love to drive both cars too. I've driven the RSX Type S and damn does it give you a rush. Especially when VTEC kicks in ! And shifting is sure is smooth. I could only imagine how it would be in those cars. Heh.

The clutch pedal on the S2000 was really stiff. Then the Accord 6-speed was super smooth and a kind of light clutch. I was all messed up when I tried to drive my 5-spd Civic home.
