Question Quick question about law

If I was to use those LED windshield washer nozzles, and I get pulled over cuz they're blue, then will paying off the ticket go on my driving record?

Any time you pay a ticket, you admit guilt of the offence on the ticket. So yes, it will go on your driving record.

And Falken is right.

NOOOOOOOO! Don't do that to a 7th gen!

Hmm... Would that somehow affect my insurance? (i.e. make it go higher?)

it might just be an equipment ticket...but if your driving when they pull you over, then that would be a moving violation which would go on your driving record (unless you can go to traffic school to wipe it off)

you could hook-up a toggle switch for them

does that answer your question about something that your 'not going to do'??

Ok, well this is the thing. When I first bought my car, after a couple of months I put them on to blink only when I'm making a turn. A cop was going the other direction, saw me, and pulled me over, and gave me a ticket. I went to the court and stupid me just asked the lady at the window that if I paid it off, would it go on my record. She said "no" so I didn't think anything of it. Paid it and then disconnected the stupid lights.

Now, almost a year later, my wife was shopping for insurance, and the this one insurance company looked me up, and said that I had a moving violation for not having my lights on. And these past few days I've been racking my brain trying to figure what the heck she was talking about. Let me show you what she told my wife.

She said (in an email):
"I ran the motor vehicle report and it is clear for no claims there is a_ticket for Marcos for driving with his light_off."

So could this be it? And how bad will my insurance go up? That's what I'm wondering cuz in August is when I have to renew my current insurance policy. And I'm enjoying it now cuz when I turned 21 my rates went down really low, and I'd hate for it to go up.

So.. What do y'all think? Is there anyway to fight it anymore?

NO, IT'S NOT A MOVING VIOLATION,......it's an equipment violation, and it should not have anything to do with your insurance......moving violation is stop sign, speeding, etc....not equipment, at least here in mass

See, now that's what I thought. I know Texas is strict about driving laws, but I'll have to look it up then, unless someone on here knows.

those are for 'off-road use only'...if he was using them on the road, that can be considered a moving violation

as im sure you are aware, it can differ from state to state

But the LED nozzles aren't for "off-road use only", are they?
