They probably will use the UK tails on the coupes in 04. I was just about to buy some jaguar style alteezas when the 03's came out and they were exactly the same as the new stock tails. So instead I just got reagular clear alteezas, I had to get rid of the gay pink reverse light.

The last place to find info on the release of the CTR is a Honda dealership. They know nothing. If you want to know when the CTR will be released, wait for Honda's official press release on it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the rumors started with a dealership just to get somebody's hopes up. Otherwise, personally I doubt we'll see a Civic Type R. I don't think it has a place in the USDM market, especially if it's powerplant is given the 200HP K20 block that'll barely break 14s stock in a EP3 chassis..

The Civic Type R = 197hp
The CTR has the K20A1 in it. The K20A1 is a slightly tuned down K20A that you will find in the RSX type R that produces 220 hp. The K20A1 that is in the CTR produces 215 hp which is more than the previous gen of the CTR.

Okay, this may be a stupid question.. But isn't the CTR look like the current Si here in the states?
There are alot of differences between the CTR and the SI. First off, the lip kit. The different bumpers, front and back. No bumper lenses on the CTR, different tailights, different wings, and headlights. And even different honda symbols. Yes they have the same "egg" shape, but they do have alot of exterior differences.
