update on car for fiance (another update)
Well we went to test drive 3 cars yesterday. The 2003 Accord Sedan V6, 2003 Jetta GLS 1.8, and a Mazda 6 S. Well the fiance didn't like the look of the Accord. She liked the Jetta and the Mazda 6 the most so I guess the accord is out of the question now. I kind of like the mazda 6 also, but I have had problems with mazdas in the past. So I guess now it is down to the Mazda 6 S and the Jetta GLS 1.8. Which one now?

wtf? The new accord is the best looking model in years. You fiance is wierd.......lol
Get a VW Cabrio. I think those look better than a Jetta.

This is the last year for the current Jetta, it will change sometime during 04, so I would stay away from it unless you don´t mind driving an "old" car in less than a year.
How about the TSX, or should I say "euro accord"?

If you want reliable, dont buy a VW product. What about the Toyota Corolla type S, or the Solara....Or even the Camry....Or what about a Subaru. i wouldnt go near a VW....I worked for a VW dealer for 2 years and I have seen all the problems with VW's...especially the Jetta.

Tonight I am going to take her to the Acura dealership. I just realized the TSX is right around the price range I am looking for. Hopefully she will like it. She is stuck on the Jetta though. She better not get pissed if I get her the TSX. I meen she is getting a car given to her with out having to pay for it, although she does think this car is for me and not her. She has no clue I am getting it for her.

I'd get the jetta it has been out for awhile and most of the design kinks have been addressed.
I like the mazda 6 but it is the first year out and there will probably be some problems because it is new.
I like my 01 civic but I have had some issues with the first year version.
Go with the JETTA.
plus it has the seat warmers and the girls I know love it come their " time of the month and cramps."

I really like the look of the 6, but I also say, never buy the First year run of any car. No matter who makes it. because if you do then YOU are the guinipig who gets to find all the design flaws. But man I really like that car. Jettas never seem to look right to me, some thing about the size of the wheel wells, as compaired to the rest of the car. they look to small. I most definitly do not like the look of the new accord. the rear end looks like a Big FAT ***. it just dosn't appeal to me. The front is ok, but the rear just kills it.

TSX!!! i read in a import mag that the person who designs honda's high performance engines says that the TSX is the best engine that he has designed yet. Its built really good, performance wise and reliability wise

got quote on TSX
Well the sailsperson is offering me the TSX 26,600, for the TSX 5 speed automatic with navigational system. That is a little more than what it would be if I got it with out the navi. He is a friend of the family so he is knocking of about $2,000. It is coming with the factory lip kit, spoiler, and fog lights. I am going in tomorrow (saturday) and paying for it (those of you who don't know I just inherited $500,000 so I am paying it off right there), then driving it to the local U-Haul, and storing it in a garage till the wedding.

because I am letting my fiance see it and if I drive it there is a chance she will see it. Plus the wedding is less than 3 weeks away. I might take it out during the day some times, but not anywhere near around where we live. It is a suprise. I told her I am not getting it, she was really sad too. I can't wait to see her eyes when I give her the keys.

Why did you start a new thread. You already have a thread on this subject. I am going to merge this one into your existing thread.

yeah I lost my great grandfather. I am getting this TSX with part of it. I just put a bid down 2 days ago for a new house, and I am paying off my civic. I am putting half of the rest in stocks. And the other half in the bank to collect some interest.
