Hey guys, i used touch up paint on my car and the paint looks different from the original paint. How do i make it blend in perfectly with the original paint?
There is a one step touch up that doesnt require clear. If you have access to an airbrush you could lightly blend it to the original. Use low pressure with a moisture trap. You probably wont get an exact match without a great deal of blending.

I had to use touch up paint, some one shot three BBs into the the side of my car and cracked the paint and left three small circles all the way to the metal. So I used the paint so my metal wouldn't rust. It looked the exact same color. I think the touch up paint honda sells is the exact smae paint they use when they are spraying the cars at the factory.

The only colors that will blend in perfictly are non Metalic colors. With metalic paint, when you brush it on the Metal flakes lay down differently then when the pait was sprayed on, and thats why they look so diferent.

You can't always match the non-metallic colors either. My old Nissan was white, and the touch up didn't match. Every batch is going to be a little different. Sometimes its more noticable than others. If it bugs you that its nowhere close, then just fill the nicks in with clear primer, but you'll never get the touch up to match. I don't even think the touch up is chemically the same as the original stuff... its something totally different all together.

I am talking about the washer nozzles that had black under them therefore making the paint darker afterwards. I am not talking about the actuall body parts I retouched when I say almost perfect. I was talking about the nozzles. Do you not read the whole thing?
touch up paint is put into the little bottle from the same mixture they used to paint the car. the method of application will make it look different, along with normal fading from sun/head and other elements. in the beginning it's the exact same paint, but if you've had your car for almost 2 years in the sun every day its going to look very different.
