or if you want low end like off the line, but with a smaller power band, get the b20. i would think it is better for turbo since it has already a lower compression and longer stroke. bad thing is its a tad heavier

BOTH!!!!!!!!!!!

id say do a B20B swap, With LS camshafts. Around 7 extra hp with LS camshaft over stock B20B cams. Id also recommend a LS tranny for this swap

Ten turbo that bad boy!

Of course a turbo LS is gonna be faster. Its not gonna be faster than a B20B with a turbo

i say go with a B20 NA, it is probly the most reliable. i haven't heard too many good stories with ls/vtec. i would rather go with a gsr turbo set up and a type r tranny...

remember it all matters on how much money you have to spend

I have to disagree with you on this, For N/A get either a B16 or B18 or interswap a b16 and 18

You know b20b only produce's 146 hp and 133 tq Stock!
a B16 PRODUCES 160 HP

JUST BECAUSE ITS A BIGGER ENGINE DOES NOT MEAN ITS GONNA BE FASTER!

ONLY GET A b20 if your willing to spend some hard earned bucks to get this thing up to par!!!!!

A N/A B20 with respectable numbers is gonna take some work! and money!!!!!!!!

If your going N/A DO NOT GET A B20!

if you add a VTEC head the the B18b block, you will have an LS VTEC setup...of course it's a bit more complicated then just switching the head..........

The B20VTEC will be more torquier then the LSVTEC.

my friend has a b20/vtec in his rex and stock(no add-ons or anything) ran a 13.4 in the 1/4. but it really depends on what you want to do with the car go turbo or n/a. if you want n/a go with a type-r engine, gs-r, or if you want to a b16. if you really want to do something go do a mini- me swap (b18c1 bottom end and b16 head) some call it the prro mans type-r. but if you want to go turbo just go for the ls. you will make more power with the b20/vtec than the ls/vtec, but you will have to find someone you know that wont f*** up your engine to do it for you unless you want to do it. remember 13.4 with the b20/vtec. or just go k24 with k20 head. haha.just my .02 cents.

one of the members of a forum that I'm on more frequently (www.gs-r.com) has an integra with a B20B Vtec running 18psi, dynoed 508 whp 366 lbs/ft torque;

here is the link to his dyno sheet

HERE

if you scroll down, there are some pics of the teg too.

first of all it's LSVTEC, and I beg to differ, if it's built properly, the LSVTEC will last for much longer then 6 months......it's just that too many people don't know how to build it properly and **** goes out within 30,000 miles.

I'm not exactly sure you can make this comparison fairly. If there was a stock VTEC B20, it would be pounding B16s into the ground all day long. That 146 HP is with fixed timing.... no VTEC, where as the B16 is running with VTEC and only puts out 111 ft-lbs of torque.
So find out what a B16 would have with fixed cam timing or a B20 that has VTEC and try again... because your comparison isn't fair. Its like compairing the LS engine to the GS-R engine. VTEC vs. no VTEC and look at the difference it makes.
