Too bad the old NSX Type S-Zero still out runs it. But only by about a cars length. It beat the snot out of the old Type R NSX, beat that one by like 3 car lengths.
NSX Type S-ZERO Weighs 2800LBS
Japan Only. Racing prepped car. Features: No air conditioning or audio wiring. Harder suspension than normal but softer than the Type-R. Carbon-fiber Recaro seats. Another 50kg lighter than the Type-S , BBS alloy wheels, mesh engine bay cover. 9.857 million yen (about $81,000). No cruise control, stereo, power door locks, airbags, air conditioning, traction control, power steering, fog lights or navigation system. Honda has come up with a new lightweight lead-acid battery and halved the thickness of the partition glass between engine bay and cabin.
NSX Type R weighs 3295lbs as of 1992

ZZ, are you saying the NSX S-zero outruns the new NSX-R? is this drag or track? b/c on track NSX-R destroys!! Also, I dont think the old NSX-R weighs in at 3295. It's more like 2750.

Perhaps it was just the new NSX Vs the Old S-Zero, I dont remember.
But I do remember that it whooped the Old NSX-R. I wouldnt beleive it my self if I hadnt seen it.

NSX is NOT a drag car, you want a drag car, get yourself a GT-R and go from there.
ZZ: Ok, yeah, the new NSX-R can beat the old NSX-R pretty badly on track or on drag. Even the old NSX S-Zero can beat the old NSX-R however power to weight ratio was very close.... but after the 6 speed model came along, S-zero is fast.
