if you are going to put a B18C5 into a crx you need a 1st gen B16A cable transmission and place racing and hasport make mounts for the swap also you are going to run into clearnace issues with the stock CRX Hood

thanks supa that was exceptionaly informative! ill look for a cowl hood as well as that tranny. also if anyone else knows how does that transmission hold up to the more powerful b18? im shooting for 250 hp w/ turbo so would it be a good idea to rebuild the transmission and toughen it up a bit or regear it? thanks in advance

you may want a integra RS/LS/GS manual tranny, they have shorter ratios than the GSR tranny, and will fit just as well as the b16. however, i believe these are hydraulic and thus will need a bit more work. basically for a CRX you will want a b-series with a cable transmission. have you considered going JDM? there's a lot more JDM b16a's out there with cable trannies (some with autos even) than US ones.

LS trannys have longer gears then VTEC trannys thus why a lot of people choose to run them with turbo. but i do not like the LS tranny even for boost.

Trying to get a hydro tranny to run in a cable clutch car is a headache and cost lots of money the tranny should be fine for that amount of hp if it ever breaks you can buy another very cheap thats one benifit of having a cable transmission.
