Question New Car

Well since my civic is being cubed, Im in the market to get a new car. I drove around the other day to see what kind of deals I could get. Im getting around 14k for my civic from insurance, and am in a finacial position to stretch that alittle. What im looking at so far is a used Acura RSX- S with 35k miles for 18.6k has oem body kit and spoiler. My only issue there is that it does have 35k miles and 18k isnt that great of a deal on it.. and Im wondering why the original owner turned in a car that is only a year old. Another car I was looking at is a Mustang Mach 1 leased for 300 a month 36 months 1k down and a buyout of 13k at the end of the lease. Hell that comes ot less than it would cost to buy a mach 1 straight out. I was also looking at the 350z but thats coming to about 375 a month. I still need to take a trip down to the distant Honda and Acura dealers and get quotes on a new s2000 and a new rsx-s. What do you guys think?

if you are using it as a daily driver, a mustang mach1 and an s2000 are not the best winter cars are they? just a thought.

RSx...wouldn't recommend a domestic, but if you really wanted one then...don't forget the insurance will also be higher if you get a sports car...

Well with traction control they'll be fair.. but I'm in college and if its bad out you don't need to drive... I mean you can do fine at my college without any car at all!

yup yup. I've always wanted a tough car, but given the other choices, the rsx would be a nice daily driver. then again the rsx is shady w/ mass miles already. tough decision

An RSX are 350Z. Mustangs suck. They aren't made very well...plus they're American...need I say more? :-)

the noise from a SC or turbo is there sure, but think about it .....with that minor annoyance comes with a great boost of power. so basically who cares about the noise?

I say shop around for an RSX-S. play hard ball with the dealer see if you can work something out thats your best option. 36k miles is a lot for that young of a car IMO

buy this RSX and make my day

Mustangs aren't too great when it comes to reliability. I mean, they aren't just flat out awful, but a long way from honda/toyota. Insurance will be OUTRAGous if you are a teenager. However, it is going to be high on the rsx-s too. I would strongly recommend that you check with your ins company before deciding on anything. I think you will be surprised how high it is.

RSx-s may have been traded by someone who wanted something else. People drive cars for a few months and want something else. I have a friend that hasn't had the same car for over 2 yrs and he's 26. Nothing wrong with the trade-ins, just wanted something else.

Just make sure all the maintenance has been done. Acura gives you that certified deal anyway...no worries

Oh, and why get some major expensive sports car at your age? Why work just to pay for some car....Most of the people that drive those nice cars can barely afford them and that's all they have, that nice car....

Get something decent and use the money to go out to eat w/friends and stuff.....You'll grow to hate that high payment and the car that it is for...

Conn is expensive, isnt it? what does it cost to get plates and registration there? Is there usually a lot of snow in CT?

If you can hack it, get the 350Z. Those things are soo sweet. (RSX-S if you can't afford the Z).

BTW, see if you can get pictures of your cube. lease:

Not into 4-door cars. I mean its definately good looking for a four door car, and there are some sedans i like (lancer evo 8 would be good if they trashed that spoiler ) But I'd take an rsx-s over a tsx any day. Im still trying to get a deal on a s2000 though
