H22 in a 7thGen?
He'll show up. Like I said, I see the kid all the time, I've just never talked to him about his car before. It still seems too unbelievable though. Maybe I'll see if he's around tonight.

unless that car is owned by someone who is rich and could spend thousands upon thousands of dollars just thrown away, I gaurantee that pic is fake. I mean especially after you post the pic and say nothing. who owns it. where you saw it. where you got the pic from.
I gaurantee you it's BS. And at that crappy resolution, you can't even tell if it's photoshopped or not.

How do you call that crappy resolution? It is a pretty good pic, granted it could be better, but I would like to see or hear more about this, as in how did he do the tranny and subframe work? Or maybe something about the accesories and what all had to be changed to make sure he still had them or did he just say F it and throw out all the power needs??

The pic that was posted was not mine, and has nothing to do with this kids car. So I don't know if it is BS.

(i am just kidding about the canadian remark.
) Its not going to work on the 7gen civic. Why # 1 the why the motor sits there is no room on the 7gen just think about the size of that motor.#2 The axles on that car is lower than the 7gen like the older civics. #3 I would like to know who is going to hook up that harness on that car? #4 There is going to be no way that someone is just going to put the motor mounts in without cutting the car apart. And i could keep on and on, but we get the point. Its not going to happen with the 7gen. People will do the k20 before a h22.

I'll ask him details if I find out if it was really done. In the meantime, why doesn't anybody look at this? He said he had it done. http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...threadid=83066
The insurance thing works like this: The engine isn't covered unless you tell them that you have an engine that isn't from the original car. You guys are right, they have no way of telling if you swapped the engine. IF and only if you tell them will they raise the price.

The H22 will NOT fit in a 7th gen for the same reason a B series won't fit in a 7th gen.
The tranny placement is completely different and the mounts just wouldn't be strong enough, the way you'd have to modify them. You'd need to basically change the frame, sub frame work and push the firewall back. Anything is possible with lots and lots of money, but don't hold your breath.

Many may vouch for you on this site, and that's great. But whenever I get a hold of a camera, many will vouch how ignorant you are, and how insulting you are when someone proves you wrong. I'm not a liar, and I didn't create a extensive post just for laughs. I wrote the post to help stop confusion. I just think you can't handle the fact that a huge motor/tranny like the H22 can fit in our 01'+ Honda Civics...and you use quick, witty remarks to back ya' *** up.

Really? well, let me make this pure and simple for you. First off, I called the place in the OTHER thread you mentioned, talking about blah blah, they made a kit for an H22 to fit in a 7th gen. They had NO CLUE WHATSOEVER what you were talking about, and said they don't make ANY mounting kits for the 7th gen.
Secondly, this is why you are full of crap.
A. You have to use a tranny to mount this monstrous engine in the 7th gen. So, what about the D17 tranny? Well, the D17 tranny connects to the engine on the OPPOSITE SIDE that the H22 tranny hooks up. So the D17 tranny is sitting on the complete wrong side.
B. Oh, well use the H22 tranny you say? Well, now you have a huge engine crunched into your engine bay, however the subframe and firewall are in the way of where the H22 tranny would go. (since the tranny was meant to be on the other side) For those who know, the H22 tranny BARELY FITS in a 6th gen civic, and even then, you have to cut out part of your sub-frame. However, the particular area the tranny would have to sit in the 7th gen has EVEN LESS room than the 6th gen did. Hence having to cut out subframe and remove or push back the firewall.
However, according to captain america here, all he needed was a "mounting kit" from this company, and it was not expensive at all.
There, how's that for "backin ma' *** up"?
