Another K20A2 swap
went to my local car show last night and came across a blue 01 civic, body kit, CF hood, exhaust, white rims from Nevada. talked to the guy, he told me he had the engine since Nov. and he also told me that, he was the one who told HASposrt how to do the swap.
No pics. he said he got the engine from Oregon for $4000 w/ 3000 miles on it and he is heading to Mississippi (military)
so a total of 4 civics now
1. Type-R (Silver Civic)
2. Type-S (Black Civic)
3. Type-S (HASport)
4. Type-S (Blue Civic)
------------------------------
5. White Civic (Member Name: HP) ?

to be honest going from the d17 to the k20, it's like day and night. the first time i drove it i couldn't stop smiling for the rest of that day. it was crazy, having to shift at 8200 just before the cut off, and being pushed into the seat even more when ivtec kicks in. i love it!
Yeah, definitely, the K series motors are really impressive. My motor's rev limiter is at 8600 rpm. I had my car dynoed but it was dynoed by a crappy shop and I doubt there dyno is acurate. I hit 190hp on reg 93 pump gas, It should be taking 94-95 octane gas, but still, thats pretty impressive even though the dyno is probably miscalibrated.
shoot if i had the money i would do it too
i love the bodystyling and the lines on my 2k1
but unless i customize there is no power
i love my car but not being able to race anyone is getting on my nerves. . . . . i need a crx

dc5@em2 just out of curiousity, is your a/f mixture running rich at all??? i'm running an injen intake, dc 4-1, dc twin can, hondata intake manifold gasket, exeday flywheel, exedy cerametallic clutch and i'm running extremely rich...i have an idea why, but just curious if you might be experiencing the same thing?
