Jacking up the Civic

How many here can jack their stock suspension Civic up without having to drive it up on some sort of ramp first? I can't, and it's a royal PITA not be able to fit the jack under the car stock.

WTF? You can't get the jack under your car and it's not lowered? You aren't trying to get the jack under the tires are ya...LOL

I must be missing something about your situation. I have no problem using my floor jack from sears. There is always plenty of room. It slides under the front of the car for jacking the front end all at once with ease. Now, when my car was lowered, I couldn't get the front center but everything else was fine.

Sounds like you need a new jack, jack....

Heh, my jack is from Sears also. I'd say it's about 6-8 or so inches tall. I've never had a problem putting it under any car but my Civic. My car is stock with the 14" alloy HX wheels.

Hmm...I am thinking mine is only about 4-5" or so....It's worked on all my cars and my wife's but they all are/were hondas...LOL That sucks though man...I guess it would be cool to have 2 jacks though...can never have enough tools and auto related items...

Hmmm, maybe I'm over estimating the size. It does fit under my brother's 02 EX fine.

uhuh, i have a 3 1/2 ton jack made by michellin, and it doesnt fit under my car, cause its lowered, but i use a jack on one side and then put the big jack in the front and it lifts up great, i only have a 1 3/4 in drop in the front, so thats probably why.

I have never had any problem getting a jack under my LX with stock 14 tires. You must have a really tall jack or something.
