and what is this about a hybrid NSX? does anyone have any more info on this? i've only read blurbs in Road & Track and such. i hear even though it will be hybrid, it will still be a beast (as if they could produce a low performance NSX).

There is talk of a Hybrid NSX... It is possible to crank tons of power out of a hybrid. DC motors create gobs of torque. The fact all the hybrids are econoboxes has given people the idea that hybrids are whimpy. If they wanted to make it powerful, they could. I don't know all too much about the Hybrid NSX because not much has been leaked, but if Honda thinks they can pull it off, I bet they can. The harder part may be convincing people to buy it. The inherent complexity in the IMA system may make people question the reliability of it. That and the fact that everyone knows how to mod gas engines. The hybrid may be a little bit harder to play around with.

There will not be an S2200 coupe released in fall of this year. The only thing honda has stated that will be changing with the S2000 is basically an increase in power in 2004 or 2005 and some slight "looks" changes.

i heard about that NSX hybrid, and heard about the plans on some tv show ( maybe it was the "tech section" of the news ).
from what i heard, they had 2 engines in the car, a 300hp V6 mounted in the rear, and a 100 hp electric engine in the front. its a balance of power and fuel economy. i like the idea, but i like mercedes V12 engines more ( where 6 cylinders disable to improve fuel economy ).

From what I've heard the TSX is basically the North American version of the Accord Euro-R.

So how much will they ask for the "slightly" changed S2000? Should I buy one this year or will the price be in the $40,000 range next year?

It may not be till 2005 that they bump up the power. I don't think the S2k will change, unless they stop selling them for some reason. And I don't see that happening. there isn't another roadster out there that can match the performance for the price. I think the power increase will be so honda can keep it's edge in the straightline when the 350Z roadster comes out. I do not think the price will go up, however.

you realize there is also a regular integra that is not a type R in japan, right? the RSX is more or less the twin of the integra, but the type R is different from the american type S.

Yeah, they were slow but they looked awesome when modified. Prelude was also large enough to put in larger engines so if the power isn't there, put it there.

It was in what I believe the newest Sport Compact Car Magazine where is stated that the TSX would be the replacement for the Integra 4 door.
