Vents in Trunk behind carpet.
Does anyone know what these vents are for?? I mean i know its not a air release for major burn outs (j/k)
Anyways i covered it because all my bass was leaving the trunk and it was making this slapping noise. (?!)
Im sure its uselessthough.

I stuffed pillow stuffing into the hole, then taped part of the vent closed. Then there was no rattling
Don't make the same mistake as me though, there is only a vent on the left side (when facing the back of the car), so don't go through all of the trouble of taking the carpet off on the right side as well

Remember. It costs MORE money to implement a USELESS feature in an automobile than it does to just leave it out. Even if it's not majorly important, I'm sure it's not 100% useless.
Anyhow. I've been trying to find out what the slapping noise was in my car. Since I put my subwoofer in the the trunk it's been making that noise even when i close the door hard. Where exactly is it located?

It's located on the far bottom left side of the wall of the trunk. If you get under the car looking up, and look to your right side on the inside of the rear bumber, you'll be able to see the side of the vent. You'll want to pull up the carpet from the left side of the trunk, and then just pop out the vent. Then you can just do what you want to it. Hope that helps

i used it to run my power wire from my battery all the way under tha car along my brake lines, and through that hole up to my sub box(before it got stolen)
