ok dudes and dudettes - heres the choice
2003 Nissan Altima S or SL (4 cylinder)

Rep Power: 0 thanx guys - looks like mazda 6 is a clear winner. i was leaning towards the altima because its a more established car and therefor probably more reliable. as one person wrote about the mazda6... new model ... new problems.
this car would replace a volkswagon passat. so it has to be about the same size and class of vehicle. thus - no protege (too small) no SE-R Spec V (too small) and no civic (too small) and no lancer (too small).
no v6 needed - both cars produce more than enuf horses with their 4s. Plus im hoping to go from automatic in the passat to a manual in the new car.
