Opinion of decals on the car? enticing robber? listing your mods?....
i dunno about u, i got two decals so far on mine, and im wondering whether to take them off, cuz i guess it would entice a robber to come and steal what u got in ur car, or it shows that u got stuff in it. what do u all think?
I think it depends on what your stickers are for. If you have a decal of your stereo system, then yes it might be enticing thieves. But if its if your springs or your exhaust, few thieves I know would go to that much trouble to try to jack that stuff. I prefer the clean look, I don't have any decals on my car, but thats just me.
I have two decals, one on each rear quarter window, 1"x5", "Racers Against Street Racing." This was encouraged through SAE affiliations.... In the summer I'll probably have a "Bridgestone" windshield banner, dark grey so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb....
I often wonder why people put stickers on thier car. I mean if your sponsored by Joes plumbing...then by all means get a Joes plumbing sticker on your car. Toyo, AEM, etc etc.. probably dont sponsor you..so why put thier sticker on your car? Besides..if I pull up to a car that has an AEM sticker..then proceed to leave it at the stoplight...whats that say about AEM? I mean if you like the way the sticker looks..then by all means stick away. My opinion is they make you look like a wannabe racer...aka...ricer.

some dude had an audiobahn sticker in his back winsheild of his wrx up at Clarion University and someone during the night came through and busted out his back glass and pryed open his trunk. the kid had two 1000 watt(i believe they were) brand new audiobahn amps just installed 2 days before mounted to the back of his seat with wiring done professionally, looked sweet. he also had two 12" audiobahn subs in a ported box that he had taken out because he needed the trunk space that week. so the kids got away with nothing cause the amps were bolted on real well. he got a nice big busted up window and had to have his car towed and cleaned out because there was glass all through it, plus he needed the window fixed. sucked to have been him.

puting stickers on your car is just free adveertisement for those
companies.
Not for me though. My stickers are for my sponsors K & N air Filters
and NX Nitrous Express. They are also for the 3 different race series
that I am in for the 2003 race season.
I am paid to have stickers.

i got the list thing down the side goin, i like the look. i don't have them on there to advertise anything, nor do i think that it's any more enticing to someone who wants your car than that big coffee can in the back. i just like the look of it. i had a windshield banner for a while but ditched that. i think it's just personal preference, or sponsor advertising, depending on your situation.

I think Ure kinda right that the robber would come and try to steel the stuff you got, but if u have a good alarm system u dont have to worry about it so much.
I think that stickers are really Nice if they are put properly and in the right location.

put APC stickers all over your car and people wont go anywhere near it
i agree with stickers, as long as they are a car club or some type. personally, i think it makes a car look like **** when somebody puts their AEM and Injen stickers all over the place, advertising their big bad intake
a perfect example would be a buddy of mine: he has a 2000 ex custom turbo, and on the side in big *** blue lettering, it says "vtec turbo". not only does it not exploit his car to theives, but he also loses his "sleeper" appearance, oh and did i mention it looks like ***.

Cars don't get stolen for their aftermarket performance parts. They get stolen for their engines or other oe parts. Stickers are for that cool "racer" type look. Well, they make the car faster too and attract more attention to boot! Also, sometimes people don't know just how bad your car is, so a bunch of stickers lets them know that your civic is a hot-rod baby!
