just from the dealer
I went to the honda dealership here in Germany today. This is what i came back with. The 2003si type r engine will fit in our car. So I asked him how much. He Quoted me 1800 euro for the engine and 1200 euro for the tranny. and 1300 euro for the labor. Now my question is is this a better deal than going all N/A on the engine I have or would it be better to go with a turbo and some internals. If I went with the type-r I would still have room to grow on and even maby down the road add a turbo. It was just a thought. I won't make any decisions until I learn more about our motor and about how it all works.

I went to Germany in December and saw a bad *** si type-r
on the auto and i was wondering if the engine would fit the ex tranny?Thats cool as hell dude and hope everything works out
Cheers
no the engine will fit the EX bay with some modification, and you will need the type-R tranny to go with it. when you swap an engine you typically need to swap the tranny also.

The exchange rate right now is .98 euro to the doller so roughly $1,836 for the engine and $1,224 for the tranny and about $1,335 for the labor. not too bad I thought.
