Hey, how much do you think is the resale value of a 2001 civic EX coupe automatic with the following modifications:
Neuspeed sport springs
K&N SRI intake
34k miles
Engine flush/Synthetic oil (plus oil change every 3k miles)
17inch wheels and new tires (total $1000)
Any comments welcome. Thanks

Rep Power: 0 I saw a bunch selling a similar car for $17k and they already have 50kmiles on it. Wtf? What if he puts everything back in stock form? would that make a difference in price?

Rep Power: 0 Here's the link for Kelley Blue Book Kelley Blue Book
Make sure to specify whether or not you are planning to trade your car in to a dealer, or sell it private party. Selling it private party ALWAYS gets you more, cause dealers rape you with trade in values. And yes, restore the car to OEM status, and sell the parts on the side...you will appeal to a more broad base of customers that way as well as enhance value.

Rep Power: 0 Had a dealer offer me 13,500 for my stock 02 ex 5sp with 4500 miles..... It just depends on where in the country you are and how good you can work the dealer. Check kelly blue book. www.kbb.com check edmunds www.edmunds.com and also Nada www.nada.com take that to dealer with you and don't budge off your number.

Rep Power: 0 actually I work at a dealer and the most acurate pricing is from kelly but the best for the consumer is NADA by a long shot.

Rep Power: 0 It takes a stroke of luck to come out of a car that is 1 or 2 yrs old w/o taking it up the rear and squeeling like a pig.
You are trying to sell while the car is taking its biggest depreciation hit.
Plus, honda is offering terribly low financing rates on new civics at the moment. Basically, with the lower rate through the dealer, one can get a new car for the same monthly payment as buying your used one. A private bank's loan rate on a used car is going to be AT LEAST 2x what honda is currently offering...This can really affect the amt of monthly payments.
It will sell eventually but you have almost no chance of getting what you want for it. It's just money though so throw away a few grand and be happy. I did it and may do it again here soon.
