i don't think you can swap heads between different series (K -> D vice versa) but i think you can swap within the same series (B16 ->b18 etc)

Damn, thanks though. I dont even know the badge for my block. But what about SI to Civic? I am trying everything aside from turbo, super,or engine swap, to make my LX as fast as possible...

Who ever told you that needs to lay off the hard stuff.... You can't swap heads across engine series.

The code is on the front right corner of the block. Just below the radiator hose.

Even if it is physically possible, which I doubt, I'm pretty sure the K series spins a different direction entirely, which would be...ahhhhh...interesting....anyway

Exhaust-Compression-Decompression-Intake!

It would be fabulous for emissions though..

well first you should have i/h/e and a custom intake manifold.

maybe then start some head work. port job, etc. cam regrind and all that stuff

then upgrade the block stuff like custom pistons etc.

not only are you swapping across different series' engines, but i think you guys forgot to mention that you are trying to swap a DOHC head on to a SOHC block.

The SI is a K series engine so it wont work, if you could it would have been cheaper to drop the D series all together and just pay to swap a K series in the 01

Yes the Civic Si would be the same scenario as the RSX. Both K series, you having a D series. Doing a Turbo would actually be cheaper than a swap, sorry man. The other points were brought up very well by other members here.

the cost to drop a K series motor in our civic....why not trade our car and get a civic Si or RSX?
