auto tranny damage?

my girl just f---ed up her auto tranny 2001 prelude with a 75 shot of nitrous. i was in the car and she was driving "normally" while racing and beating an eclipse gts. so is a shot of nitrous good for our cars?

It isn't good, but if done properly and used responsibly you should not have a problem. I have no idea what happened with your girlfriend's car but N2O is perfectly safe.

A shot of nitrous is good for our cars if used properly and the right amount is used. I wouldn't recommend a 75 shot, though... You plannin' on taking away the nitrous from your girl?

you girlfriend was drivingin "normally" WHILE racing...LOL
the Nitrous is fine for our cars you just need to watch how you use it. I would go with a 50shot and anything higher i would start worring about internals IMO

If you have a manual and use nitrous, your clutch is going to wear out a lot quicker than if you weren't using nitrous. The rate depends on how frequently it's used of course.

Same goes for the auto.

Honda makes these parts to withstand a certain amt of power. Basically, probably just a tad more power than stock. So, yeah, you start ringing a part with an extra 50hp over what it was designed for and something is going to give.
