Im not sure on this, but rememeber hearing about it. Dont they put California Emissions parts in the car for their own rules or regulations. I dont think that should affect the car in any way.
I think civics are different in each county. I know when I travel to a different county there are different civics.

lets stop laughing at him either way.
he's asking because past generation and certain honda models have California emission models.. these models have more restriction on them and thus produce less hp and torque. and slower acceleration. the more restriction you place on emission level (ie by slapping on more cat convertor) usually the car performes worse in terms of power.
but the current generation civics are all ULEV, there really isn't a california model. back then, yeah. but now, not to my knowledge anyway.
