Whats the most HP ever squeezed ou of a 4 banger?

I was watching HP TV or something like that and they had a 4 cyl top fuel car that they cusotom built out of a solid block of aluminum it was like....i think 5.2L 4cyl. and the HP was expected to be 5,000 but they were still in the process of tuning it. you could buy the engines from them for $50,000 so i'm saving up. forget the supra.
