tan marks caused by shaving *searched*
im thinking about shaving my emblems. but i am bothered if there will be tan marks cause my car is already 1 year and a half old. if ever it has tan marks, what can i do about it?

but I know what you are trying to say. When you take the emblems off just put some wax on it and buff it off. You'll never know the difference.

my car was almost 2 years old when i removed my 'civic' and 'EX' emblems, and there is not a trace of them visible so i wouldnt worry about it. granted my car is garage kept, but it had almost 50k miles on it by then so...
I sure wish my car was newer

I'm assuming your car is white, and the answer is no. Shave them, then wash the area. There might be built up dirt around the edges of where the adhesive was, but that will come off when you wash your car. One method I haven't seen talked about much on here that we used on my dad's car is getting several strands of dental floss and running them behind the emblems. It was a bit of a bear on my dad's car, but they use a lot more adhesive than Honda does.
