front end collision on fwd = problems?

as some of you know, i recently got into an accident where i took out my whole right side suspension... anyways... i was talking to a friend of mine about it and he told me that i'm gonna have major problems 20 - 30,000 miles down the line because of this one accident and told me to sell the car to prevent me from dealing with them.... my question is.. have any of you guys had any mechanical problems after getting into an accident???

i mean if you think about it, we have front wheel drive cars and most of the things that make it a FWD car are obviously in the front....

I've been in a few accidents and, unfortunately, even though you can get your car in good looking condition, it never quite feels the same. As to wether you will have any lingering problems, it depends on the damage in the accident.

Obviously he has the answers. He should be more specific.

I can think of one problem and that could be the axles.

If you have the money, I'd sell the car - you can probably dump it off to a dealer and get the next model year for pretty cheep, just tell them you want to move up a model year I've been in a few accidents, and the car is never the same..... I would do it with mine but I still owe too much on it so I'd take a hit selling it to a dealership..... oh well!

my dad got in an accident with the 2k1. the car was hit in the front on the driver side. i dont really know how bad cause i never seen the damage or pics of it. well after the car came out the shop, the car was never the same. it has a horrible chattering/rumble/vibration type of noise whenever taking off from a dead stop. it doesnt matter how fast or how slow i engage the accel. not knowing that it might be the accident that caused it, i brought it back to HONDA twice. 1st time they said they cant do anything cause its been in an accident. 2nd time at another dealer, i OKed for them to do a full inspection ($92) cause i was dying to find out what is causing it. they reported that it could be the axle or ball joint is somehow loose. then they told me that it could be a crappy welding job done by the shop. i have been living with this problem and told my dad to report this additional problem to the insurance so the person at fault would be charged for damage. but im not sure if it will go through since it has been so long since the accident
