How's this for gas milage.
I was curious to see how long i could drive to work without filling up so i started a few minor calculations.
My job is 1/2 down the road so its 1 mile round trip everyday.
1 mile x 5 days a week = 5 miles/week
Ive gotten 400 miles on 1 tank so..
400 miles per tank/ 5 miles per week = 80 weeks
80/4 = 20 months
20 months = 1.666 years
Knowing u can go over a year and a half on 1 tank of gas = Priceless. (well actually about 20 bucks at my pump)
Now I know im not gonna do this cuz obviously im gonna be driving all over the place doing other things, but its good to know i can.
edit: If u see any errors in my math, feel free to flame. I deserve it for messing up simple math.

since its half a mile to and from... you might as well walk.
takes 10-20 min. depending on how fast you walk, and u save that 20 bucks, and lose some weight

u forgot that starting your car uses lots of gas, and just how bad that constant commute would be without having any long drives to clean your engine of its carbon deposits from so many quick starts/stops

Well, your car doesn't start getting good gas mileage until it's warmed up. So in your 1/2 mile drive it probably doesn't warm up all the way, and therefore isn't running as effeciently as it could be. Sorry to burst your bubble
