ZC engine???
a buddy of mine has a ZC engine is his 93 civic hatchback (P.O.S. by the way), but i was just wondering what a ZC engine is, and the specs if possible??

I am not 100% sure, but I think it has about 130 - 140 HP and its a JDM motor that came in some of the 88-91 model hondas.

its a DOHC non VTEC 1.6L. got around 145 horses. its basically the same motor that came in the 1st gen USDM integra LS's

umm the motor is a DOHC[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG] But i didn't say b series. You can call it a B series if you wish because it has DOHC but i never did.

Yea im with Hawk i definately dont see anywhere in this statement him mention anything bout a b series engine

actually its not a d16 the engine block actually says ZC on it. It comes from jdm 88-91 civic/crx si's,other than that Hawk pretty much summed it up perfectly.

EDIT: it's also got 129hp

Nope it says ZC. I used to hang out with a lot of guys with 4th gen civics and 2g crxs (had them myself too) and the majority of them had ZC swaps way back in the day before that many people were doing b-series swaps in those cars and all of them said ZC on the block.

A friend of mine has a ZC motor in his 91 crx, and yes it does say ZC on the block.
