Who has car covers? Are they worth it?
I thought about getting a car cover, since my car is parked outside here in Amarillo. It snows a little. Does anyone here have one?....if so, was it a good investment, and is it a pain to take on and off?
snow wont hurt your car...its the salt.
actual car covers are best used in summer actually to prevent the sun from fading your paint...in the winter they are going to actually trap moisture IN under the cover.

Yeah don't use it in the winter or rain. Like was said they are best use to keep it clean (ie for a show the next day like I do) or to keep sun off. I got mine for free so I don't know if i could say if they are worth it.

I had a 92 explorer, and my grandpa got me a cover for it so instead of throwingit away i can use it to cover the vic. Yes it is a little big but it actually is a good thing cause then the elastic on the bottom goes way under my car and it also covers my wheels and all. I agree not to use them during the winter to cover it from snow, but it is a really good idea to have one for the sun and little debris. If you are thinking of buying hte one from Honda it isn't worth it, you can get one from Autozone or something for a lot cheaper just because it doesn't say Honda on it.

wow, thanks for the info guys. I really appreciate it. You all saved me 60 bucks....i never knew that they weren't too great for winter. When it does get hot and sunny (when i move back home to ft.worth) my car is garaged, so i wont even need one. I'll just let it get snowy up here and invest in K&N airfilter for the civic and my gf's car instead. Thanks!
