Should I buy a 94 civic ex

I know this a 7th gen civic site but I thought you guys may have owned a 5 gen civic and could help me out. I went to look at a 94 civic this week and when I test drove it I notice that the SRS light was always on and that when I turned on the AC the steering wheel shook really bad. The guy said it was re-vaccumed over the summer and that is why it does that. and on the rear bumper there is like a 1/2 inch gap it almost look like it was hit and they didn't do a good job of replaceing it but the guy said it wasn't. It also has lower suspension and could that cause the ac to shake like that. I could really use your guys help. Thanks

I owned a 95ex cpe before my 2k2, it was a great car.. as for the srs light comming on thats weird, I assume you should get it looked at,. or maybe the seller removed it?.. they do cost a lot?.. i never really used the AC in my old car but when i did nothing ever vibrated? thats odd.

how much is he asking?.. and how many miles are on it?

he is asking 6900 but I got him down to 6000 it has coilovers 17inch racing hart m5,intake,short shifter and a full catback exhaust. 122,000 but he has the paper work saying it has a new timing belt, plugs, waterpump and he just had oil changes every 3,000 miles.

That sounds pretty expensive. Have you ran a carfax on the VIN Yet?

I didn't think about doing that but it wouldn't show anything if it wasn't reported so I may have to look for another car.

The car doesn't sound right. Don't pay that much for that car totally not worth it. Just look for another one!

civicdude will become famous soon enough
If you are smart you will steer clear of that car, I had a 94 civic ex coupe...that I sold right before I bought my 2k1. My car was immaculate...you could eat off the motor.....all polished parts under the hood....Intake, Header, and exhaust.....Perfect body, 85k miles.....dropped 2 inches....I sold the car for $5700....I sold all the other parts on the side. I wouldnt buy that car because it has been hit and fixed...god knows how bad the damage really was, it has alot of miles on it and he wants way too much money for it....For that price you can get a nice stock 5th gen that hasnt been beat on or abused and doesnt have any mechanical problems with it either...Oh and about the car fax....Dont trust them....I had 2 of them done on my 5th gen and the car came up clean...no accidents....Meanwhile it was involved in two front and rear colisions....Make sure you have whatever used car you buy looked at by a professional honda tech or a mechanic before you purchase....Good Luck.
