Buyin another car need help
Buyin another car need help
im looking for another car, hopefully a sedan. Im willing to pay like 30-35 for it, but im looking for purchase incentives. I was thinking about getting a pontiac grandprix GTP edition which is supercharged and costs roughly about 30g fully loaded. and the reason to getting that car is because, gm is offering 0% financing and 0 down plus no payments until a certain date.. you guys know of any other companies with similar offerS? i really want to get a is300, if lexus has something similar to that... let me know thanks.

I'll agree with ZeroFighter. Get an import. Some good choices are: Maxima, Altima, Accord, Camry, IS300, BMW (any 3 series except M3), Infinity J30.
Any one of those cars is a good choice. I'd go for a Beamer if I had 35 to throw down. They'll last you forever and hold their value better than any other car.

I sure wish my car was newer

GTPs are good cars. But I'm not sure I would pay $30,000 for it. Their interior is not that of a 30G car. Resale isn't that great either, my buddy got a 98 in perfect condition for $11,500. I would suggest a 3- series BMW or a 4- series Audi. I think those are the best cars in the price range you're looking at.
why hasn't anyone said anything about a Infiniti G35. just grab one as soon as it comes out in 6spd. or if your an auto guy, get it with the auto (0-60 in 6.2 or something with the 5spd auto).
think maxima, but with RWD, and some better options for like 3 grand more.

well, i really like the is300, not getting a maxima even though they are nice cars because, too many people in my family already have on and i could drive theirs if i wanted to. I really dont think its a great great car despite the power, the gtp has some fast acceleration and decent looks. the is300 has decent looks and decent power, do you guys know of any special offeres with lexus right now?
i was just at the dealership earlier today and they said i could order the new 2003 grand prix and it looks just like this below what do you all think? 280 horses? Supercharged? All for 32 thousand
check out this link to the new grand prix its freaking awsome looking

Well, I kind of hate to recommend it, but you can get a Lancer for half the price of all the other cars. They're nice a dependable too. I've also heard that Mitsu is offering 0 down, 0% interest and 0 payments til 2004.
Might want to check that out too.

The Lancer (not Evo) that's out right now is weak. Base 2 level trims only have 120 Ponies and the highest trim only has a bit more hp and torque. Pretty weak power IMO. Also, on all trim levels NO ABS... it's an optional feature.. go figure.
Also they come stock with ugly 15" alloys.[hr]

If you are really dead set on getting buyer incentive plans, you really can't beat Lexus's customer friendly offers.

I always heard about the great Lexus service also, which is part of the reason I bought my IS300, but the service was not it was advertised. I was honestly really disappointed with it, I got similar treatment from old Dodge dealer. I guess I would have gotten the kiss a** treatment from them had I been older.
However, I do have to say the free car washes are nice of them and they're supposed to give you a loaner car if a service appointment takes longer than 2 hours. They won't always give you it though, I wasn't given one when my car went in for a repair.
The IS300 is a great car though, and I think you'd be extremely happy with it, particularly in 5 speed trim. The car feels like it's turning around you when you're in curves and it's nice a quiet too, not to mention the build quality and the nice smooth 2JZ-GE engine. I'd try going to here I got a great price quote. Oh, last I checked Lexus was having special APRs for the IS300 to bump sales. Check it out.
mitsu is offering that great deal, but they dont have any cars that i am interested in, i dont think toyota does eaither, im gonna call up the lexus dealership and ask what they have going.. Also just curious how much did u pay for your is300? Mine is gonna have to be a automatic cause it will be a family car so that kinds sucks.. but its okay.

I'd stay away from the GTP. My mother-in-law has one. It is fast as hay but the interior is very cheap looking imo. The trans went out twice. The auto shift lever broke once. The ac stopped working once. The alternator went bad...The fan wouldn't shut off one night so the battery had to be disconnected so it wouldn't go bad overnight. Mother-in-law says she will never buy another american made car. The back seat is the most uncomfortable one that I have ever been in...I would stay far away from pontiac.
Lexus, I would consider it but I don't think lexus offers all the gimmicks and such...they don't have to.
BMW, would be my choice. Aimed squarely at the driver and the driving experience. Hold their value very good but reliability is medicore, not top-notch like honda or toyota....
Maxima, ugly exterior, ugly interior...
I'd go with the lexus hands down if that is what you are comparing the pontiac to. I don't see how you can be cohersed into buying a totally different car because of the financing and such. Get what you want and pay the little extra. I think the service you will get at the lexus dealer will more than make up for the extra outflow. I have never seen people kiss **** the way lexus does...

IS300 all the way.
Friend owned one then sold it for the Merc clk. Hates the Merc and wishes he never traded.
Friend with Audi A4, turned out to have to many problems. In the shop all the time. he has gotten rid off it after owning it for a year.
