I know it's been beaten to death, but...

The gas light came on for the first time today as I was driving to work. It kinda surprised me and stayed on the whole drive, about 20 miles. When I pulled into the gas station and it only took 10.1 gallons! Honda needs to get a clue.

Yes, it does come on way to early, but it's better that it turns on with 3 gallons left than with 1/2 a gallon right?

Yeah. I've driven about 38 miles past the empty light once. I think the true empty is at the center of the E on the gas guage.

the loght usually comes on when you have about a whole 1/8th of a tank left. I drove with the light on about 50(80km's) miles when I went on a road trip.. Filled up..added 43 liters of gas. That was cuttin it close

I've only seen my gas light once; it came on as I started up a small incline...Kinda faded on, it was pretty cool...I rarely let my car dip that close to empty

Ya, I think its a good idea to keep at least a quarter tank full if you can. After some time (years) the gas tank can get crud in it and when the level gets low that crud can get sucked in and start to plug up the fuel filter. Plus, running out of gas sucks!

In the pro 5 the orange gas light turns on when u got about 50 km's left, and then turns red when you have 15-25 km's left, so i like how i get 2 set of different light indicators.

I did some calculation and figured out that, when the gas light came on, i could've gone another 100+ kms before i actually ran out... that is, if the size of the tank is true

I noticed that when I drive downhill, the gauge reads that there's more gas than there actually is, but when I drive uphill, other way around.
