Went to Drags (RSX Type-s)
Well I went to the drag races sunday night and saw some tight *** rides. one race was a supra vs a corvette z06. it was about even until the supra pulled away at the end. there was also this yellow s2000 kicking *** and a black 6thgen civic w/ supercharger dominating as well. my friends told me what I was going to do to my car. I said an engine swap w/ a RSX type s engine. they thought i was crazy. I told them its been done before. i just had one question, w/ a rsx type s engine and turbo w/ basic i/h/e, what times should i expect on the 1/4 mile? thx

you do know that that setup will run about $15,000. also one thing your going to have to worry about is the returnless fuelline. Moocow has a turbo and was only running 5 psi because he didnt get internals but the returnless fuelline was also stopping him from going higher as well.
actually the question should be...will an RSX type S engine swap into my small engine bay after I loose my power steering allow enough room for a turbo...and an intercooler???????
if you have the $$$ you can...
anyway, in respond to your answer...I would say...if you put an RSX type S engine...and a turbo with enough boost and and exhaust ('cause with the turbo the intake has to be part of the turbo and the header is replaced), and the small weight of the civic...and if you're a really really really good drive....possibly high 13's....or in average....low to mid 14's

If your gonna run boost the Type_S engine is the wrong one to use.. too high a compression ratio... you'd want a base RSX Engine.. which will fit..you'd have room for a turbo.. a header would be impossible as you'd be using a Turbo manifold.. Running a return line for the fuel system and swapping to an Older acura Intagra fuel pump would allow you to run 7-8 PSI boost somewhat safely.. But with stock internals the engine will wear very quickly. To do it the right way you'd have the block sleeved, get reinforced connecting rods. Change the head bolts to ARP studs. port then intake manifold for better flow..otherwise you'll have very little high end power gains caused by restriction....Done the cheap way with just a swap and custom turbo kit..your engine won't last 30k miles before it needs a full overhaul....
