I have to join the swappers :)

Hi!

I just now bought a K20A2 from a Euro Civic Type R. For now I bought the engine + transmission, sub frame +mounts, ECU, wire harness, drive shafts and the fuel pump. I have to see later what else I get. The brakes are a given thing since it is required to make it legal here. So anyway it seems that I have something to do this winter.

And do you know, from what I heard the Type R have LSD and the RSX-S haven’t??

Edit: And of course the transmission

Not any pics yet, haven't seen it or paid it yet. I'm driving myself to pick it up soon. Since I live on this eh... special island it's best to do this because we have this stupid tax-border and different taxes so I have to get it thru the customs. (I’m getting the engine from Sweden)

I gotta tell ya, I've always thought you had one of the tightest, cleanest sedans on the site. In fact, I'm semi-modeling my exterior mods after yours. And now you're doing a k20A2 swap? Boy, I've got a lot to live up to . . .

I hear ya. Once I'm ready to do the swap, I'm going for the J-spec k20A with LSD. Why settle for less, right?

That is one hell of a modification. Good luck with your project! Hopefully the motor mounts that they come out with for the RSX will fit the Type R as well. I wonder if you'll need a front sway bar from an RSX as well?

It is. The RSX-S and the Eurospec CTR (as well as the J-spec CTR, if I'm not mistaken) all have the k20A2. Only the ITR has the k20A.

HP...I gotta say, your sedan looks amazing!

What country are you from? "The Aaland islands"...Where aboots is that?

I read a couple of articles in Honda Tuning, Hot Comacts and Imports (HCI), and I think Turbo had an article as well...but ya, they were all about the engine swap.

They said they researched into it, and although that one company is making the engine mounts, you really will need the whole subframe to do the swap. BUT...if you have the subframe, it should be relatively easy! Judging from HTown's experience, I think it shouldn't be too tough!

Good luck with the swap, bro!

Keep us posted!

Cheers
