Yesterday night, my sister and I decided to go out and get some pizza. Along the way we both pull up to the light.... mmmm red. So needless to say we started reving. She is running a completly stock AUTO Teg, I am running my 2001 Civ Lx With only a AEM CAI. So we are reving im sitting at about 3500 - 4000 rpm. The light turns green, and the tires start screaming. Since my car had been sitting the engin was just getting warm now. I felt the tires grip, and I was off... 1st into 2nd I had her at 3/4th of a car length. I hit about 7k RPM. Into 3rd I gain another 1/2 car length on her... then out of no where.. yep you guessed it.... WHOOSH.... she's gone. Beat my *** in ;-). So i knew it was going to happen... but I was glad I took her off the line. It was fun up until 3rd into 4th.... Just thought I would share that.[IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]

you're launching a bit high if you're on stock tires. try around 3,000-3,500 its not like you gotta be in vtec's high cam range or anything since u got a LX. might as well get some grip and better launch going.

going into 3rd gear... you should be above 60 mph no? how did she suddenly woosh by?

I think I can take a LS, RS auto teg. heh. 's long as I dont bog the launch.

NO gsr ever came with an auto, only 5 speed. The only way you could have one is to do a manual-auto conv., and that would be retarded. just my two cents...

Just a response to the "N" drop. The Integra is a GS, and has enough torque to spin the tires without a "N" drop. In third i was kicking about 65.. when i shifted into 4th... it was a bit before the redline... it was a mistake to drop so quick on my part... like i said... it was my sister... even though it was all out of fun, i still fear for her safty... so i let off the gas...

that doesn't seem right. well you do have an lx so maybe. i have an ex and i can barely pull my friend in his 95 integra ls. he has an injen sri soon to be cai when we put the extension on. i have aem cai dc headers and dc exhaust. so i can believe it

k following logic and my experience with my father's toyota avalon, which has enough power to spin the tires a small amount from a stop and at idle, id have to say youre an idiot. by the way i KNOW my father's avalon will destroy a stock teg.

auto teg gs cannot spin more than a chirp from a takeoff unless neutral dropped. i have been in them and raced them too.

2nd gear before fuel cuts out is around 60 mph. when you hit 65 in third youre got somewhere around 4k-4.5k rpm. a bit before redline? geez i didnt know that a "bit" in this situation constituted a good 3+ seconds more of WOT in 3rd. shifting to 4th that early of course the other person will blow by you if its a close race.
